Manufacturing
Sheet & Film Extrusion
Multi-Plastics Extrusions, acquired in 2010, has the firepower and technical expertise to provide custom extruded OPS, PET, and PLA to meet the requirement of any sheet or film application needs. With eleven extrusion assets, we can tailor a solution to meet the cost needs of the marketplace.
From our own polymerization facility in Hazleton, PA facility, to our in-house research and development lab, our Extrusions division has the technical expertise required to be on the leading edge of sheet and film extrusion.
Sheet & Film Extrusion

Converting
Custom Roll Slitting + Sheet Converting
Producing in excess of four million pounds of converted plastic films monthly from seven North American operations and one European-based converting facility, Multi-Plastics has the horsepower and reach to meet any global manufacturer’s scale needs. With more than forty slitting assets globally, we are positioned to meet the demands of the marketplace.
- 1” up to 59” (Machinery Capabilities up to 80” unwind/59" rewind. Additional tooling costs for projects over 59”)
- 3″ and 6″ cores
- Up to 24 ” Rewind Diameter
- Films from .00048” to .014"
- Standard packaging poker chip style on 42” x 42”, 42” x 48”, and 30” x 56” pallets depending on the outside diameter and size of project. Custom packaging available evaluated on an individual project basis.
- Suspend packaging of rolls on header boards. Rolls minimum 15” in width on 6″ core and 18″ OD or larger.
- Wedge packing (cradle pack) at the request of the customer to roll the material off the skid
- All parameters are evaluated for each item to determine the best way to package
- Gauge ranges from .0085” to .010”
- Available glue line, tipping, interleaf
- All sheet converting is custom, call for more details

Manufacturing
The MPX lab in Hazleton, PA provides sales and manufacturing support services that encompass a broad range of quality control and product development activities. Film and sheet samples provided by manufacturing are routinely analyzed for physical properties and appearance. The staff’s extensive product and process experience allows R&D to provide hands on support to manufacturing, simplifying the film development process. This expertise and understanding of the lab’s equipment speeds the many steps it takes to analyze a sample.
